What it is
NanoFootball is a festival of football that happens every weekend at Nailsea School. Kids play at least four small-sided matches against multiple groups of other players every weekend.
Who it’s for
NanoFootball is designed for children in Reception – Year 6. Whether you play at Priority Football right now, doesn’t matter! You can sign up individually or with your friends!
When it happens
All NanoFootball matches are played on Saturday mornings at Nailsea School; eliminating the need for parents to travel far for their children to play football.
Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 kickoff at 9am; Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6 kickoff 10am.
If you want to play, you should be able to.
The obsession with just one game at the weekend leads to unfair player selection and a lack of development opportunities. Children deserve better, they need multiple games of smaller formats and lots more game time.
01. Mini Pitches
A small playing area with large goals to provide every child with the opportunity to practice dribbling past opponents, shooting and scoring goals.
02. Fewer Players
Use of smaller formats like 2v2 & 3v3 maximise playing time and create the perfect environment for a child to become confident with the ball at their feet.
03. Modified Rules
Before developing the idea that football is a passing game, we must simplify it so that it matches where children are at developmentally; they love to dribble & shoot, so let them!
No Substitutes. Everybody Plays.
We believe that football should be accessible and affordable to all, so we’ve priced our NanoFootball program to reflect that.
